Makes approximately 40 cookies


2 cups chilled salted butter - cut into small pieces

1 cup packed Light Brown Sugar

4½ cups All Purpose Flour

Optional: Your favorite Holiday Sprinkles or icing


Preheat oven to 325F

Line Cookie Sheet with Parchment Paper or Silicone Baking Mat

In a large Mixing Bowl, add butter and brown sugar. 

Using the paddle attachment on a Stand Mixer or a Hand Mixer on medium-high speed, mix until fluffy and light, 3 - 5 minutes. 

Add flour slowly and mix on medium-low speed until combined.

On a floured surface, knead dough by hand for 5 minutes, adding as much of the remaining flour as needed to make a soft dough. 

The dough should end up soft and pliable, not sticky

Work in sprinkles, if using.

Divide dough into thirds, wrap tightly with Cling Plastic Wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Roll one-fourth of the dough out to about a ½ inch thickness

(lightly flour surface and rolling pin if needed.)

Place each cookie 2 inches apart on baking sheet. 

Bake 15-20 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
